With the arrest of Luka Rocco Magnotta, the 29-year-old suspected man-eating porn star, your chances to friend him on FaceBook may be slipping away. On May 29th, a mysterious package containing a severed foot arrived at the Conservative Party headquarters in Ottowa, Ontario. A similar package with a human hand was found at the Ottowa post office later that day.
Tracking the packages back to Montreal, Quebec, police found a suitcase behind an apartment that contained a human torso. The suspect linked to the mailings, Luka Rocco Magnotta, a.k.a. Eric Clinton Newman, a.k.a. Vladimir Romanov, lived in the apartment complex. Magnotta had previously proven that he had some "issues" when he was connected to animal torture videos. Authorities later linked those videos to another video routing on the internet revealing a man being stabbed to death with an ice pick and then didmembered. The muderer then performed acts of necrophilia and cannibalism. The video is believed by police to have been recorded in Magnotta's apartment on May 24th or 25th, and Magnotta has been positively identified as the murderer. The victim was student Jun Lin, who had been dating Magnotta, and whose body parts were mailed across Canada.
Magnotta was arrested Monday in Berlin, Germany, and will be facing murder charges. Authorities suspect that Magnotta has killed others and are looking for links to other crimes, including the notorious Hollywood Sign Murder.
Here is some proof that we are all Crazy 4 Crazies.
1. After the report of the murder video, Magnotta was friended by tens of thousands of adoring fans, many of them Crazy 4 Crazies readers I would like to think.
2. The Montreal Gazette printed a photograph of Magnotta drinking a Labatt Blue beer. Labatt made the mistake of demanding that they remove the photograph from their website. A Twitter hashtag, #newlabattcampaign, exploded, bringing to the world an ever growing collection of new taglines for the beer's future ad campaigns.
3. We have received hundreds of emails from fans of suspected Satin Strangler, Destiny Blande, asking us not to overpublicize this story for fear that it will distract attantion away from her news story.
As one of the campaigns says, "stay bloodthirsty, my friends," and may you forever remain Crazy 4 Crazies.

Letter Writing Serial Killers: Son of Sam, #2
If you're Crazy 4 Crazies, you can't get enough of these letters from the legends themselves.
On May 30, 1977, columnist Jimmy Breslin of the New York Daily News received a hand-written letter from someone who claimed to be the .44 shooter. The letter was postmarked early on May 30 in Englewood, New Jersey. On the reverse of the envelope was hand-printed a precisely centered quatrain:
"Blood and Family/Darkness and Death/Absolute Depravity/.44"
The letter read:
Hello from the gutters of N.Y.C. which are filled with dog manure, vomit, stale wine, urine and blood. Hello from the sewers of N.Y.C. which swallow up these delicacies when they are washed away by the sweeper trucks. Hello from the cracks in the sidewalks of N.Y.C. and from the ants that dwell in these cracks and feed in the dried blood of the dead that has settled into the cracks. J.B., I'm just dropping you a line to let you know that I appreciate your interest in those recent and horrendous .44 killings. I also want to tell you that I read your column daily and I find it quite informative. Tell me Jim, what will you have for July twenty-ninth? You can forget about me if you like because I don't care for publicity. However you must not forget Donna Lauria and you cannot let the people forget her either. She was a very, very sweet girl but Sam's a thirsty lad and he won't let me stop killing until he gets his fill of blood. Mr. Breslin, sir, don't think that because you haven't heard from me for a while that I went to sleep. No, rather, I am still here. Like a spirit roaming the night. Thirsty, hungry, seldom stopping to rest; anxious to please Sam. I love my work. Now, the void has been filled. Perhaps we shall meet face to face someday or perhaps I will be blown away by cops with smoking .38's. Whatever, if I shall be fortunate enough to meet you I will tell you all about Sam if you like and I will introduce you to him. His name is "Sam the terrible." Not knowing the what the future holds I shall say farewell and I will see you at the next job. Or should I say you will see my handiwork at the next job? Remember Ms. Lauria. Thank you. In their blood and from the gutter "Sam's creation" .44 Here are some names to help you along. Forward them to the inspector for use by N.C.I.C: [sic] "The Duke of Death" "The Wicked King Wicker" "The Twenty Two Disciples of Hell" "John 'Wheaties' – Rapist and Suffocator of Young Girls. PS: Please inform all the detectives working the slaying to remain. P.S: [sic] JB, Please inform all the detectives working the case that I wish them the best of luck. "Keep 'em digging, drive on, think positive, get off your butts, knock on coffins, etc." Upon my capture I promise to buy all the guys working the case a new pair of shoes if I can get up the money. Son of Sam

Satin Strangler Stockings in Crime Museum?
Rumors are again flying about the stockings thought to be the murder weapons of Destiny Blande, widely presumed to be the Satin Strangler.
Three pairs of stockings, which may have been used to kill more than 100 men, originally sold on eBay on the eve of the highly publicized Satin Strangler trial in March of 2009. They have since sold for greater than $2 million through auctions, and subsequently for undisclosed but presumably significantly greater amounts in private transactions.
The whereabouts of the stockings have been unknown for the last year, but insiders close to the National Museum of Crime & Punishment in Washington, DC, indicate that they may appear in the museum later this year.
The museum received a lot of press and murderobelia notoriety for their unveiling ceremony for Ted Bundy's Beetle two years ago. The museum, which also houses clown and serial killer John Wayne Gacy's painter's box, is in Murderobilia competition with the nearby Newseum, which has the D.C. snipers' car. The snipers' car is, of course, only a mock-up, used at trial, not the actual vehicle from which John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo hunted their victims. The National Museum of Crime & Punishment, AKA Crime Museum, would take a commanding lead over the Newseum if they could, in fact, score the murder weapons of the hottest female serial killer of our time. There is probably no better time to be Crazy 4 Crazy.

Serial Killer Bedtime Stories: Jeffrey Dahmer
Okay, okay. We are finally providing a serial killer bedtime story about Jeffrey Dahmer.
Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, with the majority of the murders occurring between 1987 and 1991. His murders involved rape, dismemberment, necrophilia and cannibalism.
Jeffrey Dahmer committed his first murder in the summer of 1978, at the age of 18. That June, Dahmer picked up a hitchhiker named Stephen Hicks and offered to drink beer with him back at his father's house, planning to eventually have sex with him. When Hicks tried to leave, Dahmer bludgeoned Hicks to death with a 10 lb. dumbbell, striking the back of his head, later saying he had committed the crime because "the guy wanted to leave and [he] didn't want him to." Dahmer buried the body in the backyard.
Nine years passed before he killed again; in September 1987, Dahmer picked up 26-year-old Steven Tuomi at a bar and killed him on impulse; he later said he had no memory of committing the crime. After the Tuomi murder, Dahmer continued to kill sporadically: two more murders in 1988, and another in early 1989, usually picking up his victims in gay bars and having sex with them before killing them. He kept the skull of one of his victims, Anthony Sears, until he was caught. In May 1990, he moved out of his grandmother's house for the last time and into the apartment that later became infamous: Apartment 213, 924 North 25th Street, Milwaukee.
Dahmer picked up the pace of his killing: four more murders before the end of 1990, two more in February and April 1991, and another in May 1991. In the early morning hours of May 27, 1991, 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone (by coincidence, the younger brother of the boy whom Dahmer had molested) was discovered on the street, wandering naked, heavily under the influence of drugs and bleeding from his rectum. Two young women from the neighborhood found the dazed boy and called 911. Dahmer chased his victim down and tried to take him away, but the women stopped him. Dahmer told John Balcerzak and Joseph Gabrish, police officers dispatched to the scene, that Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend, and that they had an argument while drinking. Against the protests of the two women who had called 911, the officers turned him over to Dahmer.
Later that night, Dahmer killed and dismembered Sinthasomphone, keeping his skull as a souvenir. By summer 1991, Dahmer was murdering approximately one person each week. Dahmer got the idea that he could turn his victims into "zombies" — completely submissive, eternally youthful sexual partners — and attempted to do so by drilling holes into their skulls and injecting hydrochloric acid or boiling water into the frontal lobe area of their brains with a large syringe, usually while the victim was still alive. Other residents of the Oxford Apartments complex noticed terrible smells coming from Apartment 213, as well as the thumps of falling objects and the occasional buzzing of a power saw.
On July 22, 1991, Dahmer lured another man, Tracy Edwards, into his home. According to the would-be victim, Dahmer struggled with Edwards in order to handcuff him, but ultimately failed to cuff his wrists together. Wielding a large butcher knife, Dahmer forced Edwards into the bedroom, where Edwards saw pictures of mangled bodies on the wall and noticed the terrible smell coming from a large blue barrel. Edwards escaped. Running through the streets with handcuffs still hanging from one hand, Edwards waved for help to a police car driven by Robert Rauth and Rolf Mueller of the Milwaukee police department. Edwards led police back to Dahmer's apartment. There they found photographs of victims and severed heads and other body parts.
The story of Dahmer's arrest and the inventory in his apartment quickly gained notoriety: several corpses were stored in acid-filled vats, and implements for the construction of an altar of candles and human skulls were found in his closet. Accusations soon surfaced that Dahmer had practiced necrophilia and cannibalism. Seven skulls were found in the apartment. A human heart was found in the freezer. The court found Dahmer sane and guilty on 15 counts of murder and sentenced him to 15 life terms, totaling 957 years in prison. He was later killed in prison after being beaten by another inmate.
Sweet dreams, and may you forever remain Crazy 4 Crazies.

Letter Writing Serial Killers: Son of Sam, #1
Okay Crazy for Crazies Son of Sam junkies, here's the first of the two letters that David Berkowitz left for authorities. You'll probably love this one as much as I do.
In the street near the Esau-Suriani shooting, a police officer discovered a hand-written letter. Written mostly in block capital letters with some lower-case letters, it was addressed to NYPD Captain Joseph Borrelli. In full, with misspellings intact, it read:
I am deeply hurt by your calling me a women hater. I am not. But I am a monster. I am the "Son of Sam." I am a little "brat". When father Sam gets drunk he gets mean. He beats his family. Sometimes he ties me up to the back of the house. Other times he locks me in the garage. Sam loves to drink blood. "Go out and kill" commands father Sam. Behind our house some rest. Mostly young — raped and slaughtered — their blood drained — just bones now. Papa Sam keeps me locked in the attic, too. I can't get out but I look out the attic window and watch the world go by. I feel like an outsider. I am on a different wave length then everybody else — programmed too kill. However, to stop me you must kill me. Attention all police: Shoot me first — shoot to kill or else. Keep out of my way or you will die! Papa Sam is old now. He needs some blood to preserve his youth. He has had too many heart attacks. Too many heart attacks. "Ugh, me hoot it urts sonny boy." I miss my pretty princess most of all. She's resting in our ladies house but I'll see her soon. I am the "Monster" — "Beelzebub" — the "Chubby Behemouth." I love to hunt. Prowling the streets looking for fair game — tasty meat. The wemon of Queens are z prettyist of all. I must be the water they drink. I live for the hunt — my life. Blood for papa. Mr. Borrelli, sir, I dont want to kill anymore no sir, no more but I must, "honour thy father." I want to make love to the world. I love people. I don't belong on Earth. Return me to yahoos. To the people of Queens, I love you. And I wa want to wish all of you a happy Easter. May God bless you in this life and in the next and for now I say goodbye and goodnight. Police — Let me haunt you with these words; I'll be back! I'll be back! To be interrpreted as — bang, bang, bang, bank, bang — ugh!! Yours in murder Mr. Monster

Serial Killer Bedtime Stories: Charles Manson
Tonight's serial killer bedtime story is about one of the masters of the trade, Charles Manson.
Charles Manson a bizarre, well-known, and feared criminal with a powerful ability to control his followers was responsible for the deaths of nine people, during a murderous rampage from July 25, 1969 through August 28, 1969.
The initial three crime scens had a common element -- large words smeared on the walls in the victim's blood. Words like "PIG" and "WAR" were left on doors and walls. These words were part of a grander plan stemming from Manson's apocolyptic delusion for taking over the United States, if not the world.
The evil bloody rampage started at Gary Hinman's home on July 25th; terminating with slow tortured death on July 27. Hinman was a gentle person and had been a good friend to Manson and his family. He was killed because he claimed he didn't have the money they were trying to steal from him. Manson, Robert "Bobby" Beausoleil, Atkins, Mary Brunner, and Bruce Davis.
On August 9, 1969, Tex Watson, Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel and Linda Kasabian crept outside Tate’s Benedict Canyon home in the shortly after 12:30 AM. Before they entered the house, Watson shot Steven Parent, who had been visiting a friend in the caretaker’s cottage, a young man with his life ahead of him, as he begged for his life. Inside they massacred Sharon Tate who was eight and half months pregnant; her good friend, Jay Sebring who was visiting; coffee heiress Abigail "Gibby" Folger, and her lover Voytek Frykowski who were staying with Sharon until Roman returned.
On August 10th, Leno and Rosemary La Bianca, a wealthy, successful, retired couple, home in bed, became the next victims. Manson himself went to show the others how it's done. He went inside their house alone where he woke the couple out of a deep sleep with promises not to harm them if they cooperated. They did. He tied them to chairs. Then he returned to the car to send in Leslie Van Houten, Watson, and Krenwinkel to stab them to death. Manson hung out with Kasabian in the car while they carried out the rest of the carage. Kasabian cleaned and tossed out the wallet. These first eight victims died as part of Manson's apocalyptic vision beginning with a race war between black and white Americans.
August 28th, Manson stabbed Donald "Shortly" Shea to death out of vengeance. (There is strong evidence that he and his "family" were responsible for a number of other murders and crimes.)
As in any cult, Manson and the members fed off each other's delusions. The psychotic Helter Skelter plan came about as Manson and family, listened to the Beatles White Album high on LSD, favoring "Helter Skelter," "Revolution 9," "Black Bird," "Piggies," "Sexy Sadie," and "Back in the USSR." They believed the lyrics were prophetic and the messengers, the Beatles, were the prophets. Manson was obsessed with Holy Bible Book of Revelations Chapters 9 and 10. He cleverly quoted the Bible frequently while twisting the meaning to suit his motives. And he lived happily ever after . . . Sweet dreams, and may you forever remain Crazy 4 Crazies.

How Serial Killers Learn Their Trade
Ever wonder how serial killers learn their trade? If you're even a little Crazy 4 Crazies, I'm sure you do.
Dramatic details emerged Wednesday about Orange County serial killer suspect Itzcoatl Ocampo, who is charaged in the slayings of four homeless men.
Authorities seized a Life Magazine book titled "The Most Notorious Crimes in American History" and a knife sharpener from Ocampo's Yorba Linda home the day after he was arrested in the stabbing deaths of four Orange County homeless men, according to court documents reported by The Los Angeles Times.
If you're curious, and I know you are, you can check out the book here on Amazon.

Letter Writing Serial Killers: Jack The Ripper, #3
The third important letter considered to be from Jack the Ripper was sent on October 16 to George Lusk, who was the head of the Mile End Vigilance Committee. This time the letter was sent with a portion of a human kidney.
The letter that accompanied the kidney was not written by the author of the two earlier letters signed Jack the Ripper. The possibility remains that the letter is genuine and the kidney was the victim's, but there is no way to prove it today.

Serial Killer Bedtime Stories: Kenneth Bianchi
It's cold outside, so curl up by the fire and enjoy tonight's serial killer bedtime story about Kenneth Bianchi.
Kenneth Alessio Bianchi and his cousin Angelo Buono, Jr., together are known as the Hillside Stranglers. He is serving a term of life imprisonment in Washington. Bianchi is also a suspect in the Alphabet murders, three unsolved murders in his home city of Rochester.
Bianchi and Buono would usually cruise around Los Angeles in Buono's car and use fake badges to persuade girls that they were undercover cops. Their victims were women and girls aged 12 to 28 from various walks of life. They would then order the girls into Buono's "unmarked police car" and drive them home to torture and murder them.
Both men would sexually abuse their victims before strangling them. They experimented with other methods of killing, such as lethal injection, electric shock, and carbon monoxide poisoning. Even while committing the murders, Bianchi applied for a job with the Los Angeles Police Department and had even been taken for several rides with police officers while they were searching for the Hillside Strangler.
One night, shortly after they botched their would-be eleventh murder, Bianchi revealed to Buono he had attended LAPD police ride alongs, and that he was currently being questioned about the strangler case. After hearing this, Buono erupted in a fit of rage. An argument ensued at one point during which Buono threatened to kill Bianchi if he did not flee to Bellingham, Washington. In May 1978 he did flee to Bellingham.
On January 11, 1979, Bianchi lured two female students into a house he was guarding. The women were 22-year-old Karen Mandic and 27-year-old Diane Wilder, and were students at Western Washington University. He forced the first student down the stairs in front of him and then strangled her. He murdered the second young girl in a similar fashion. Without help from his partner, he left many clues and police apprehended him the next day. A California driver's license and a routine background check linked him to the addresses of two Hillside Strangler victims.
Following his arrest, Bianchi admitted he and Buono, in 1977, while posing as police officers, stopped a young female by the name of Catharine Lorre with intentions of abducting and killing her. But after learning she was the daughter of actor Peter Lorre, they let her go. Only after he was arrested did Catharine learn of the true identity of the men whom she encountered.
At his trial, Bianchi pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, claiming that another personality, one "Steve Walker", had committed the crimes. Bianchi even convinced a few expert psychiatrists that he indeed suffered from multiple personality disorder, but investigators brought in their own psychiatrists, mainly the psychiatrist Martin Orne. When Orne mentioned to Bianchi that in genuine cases of the disorder, there tends to be three or more personalities, Bianchi promptly created another alias, "Billy". Eventually, investigators discovered that the very name "Steven Walker" came from a student whose identity Bianchi had previously attempted to steal for the purpose of fraudulently practicing psychology. Police also found a small library of books in Bianchi's home on topics of modern psychology, further indicating his ability to fake the disorder.
The multiple personality defense failed, and Bianchi was sentenced to life. He is serving his sentence at Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla, Washington.
